I have to update several sites and I don't know if I should go the XHTML route? If so, what flavor? What editors should I use - the content has to be updated by my non-technical users?
Personally, I have found XHTML far too strict for my tastes -- it requires one to write in almost sickeningly perfect HTML syntax. I know that I, for one, could never get my head around writing <br /> when <br> would suffice in regular HTML. At this point, I don't see the advantages of XHTML as outweighing those of HTML (flexibility, speed, ease).
