i am trying to install php onto a win2000 apache webserver. i have followed the guidelines and i can't get phpinfo() to pull up.

the webserver works, but when i try to pull up

localhost/phpinfo.php

i get a 404 error: file not found; i know its there


what could be the problem?

try to search for complete kits - you just need to install it - and no problems with customization...

and if you need to get info on php try to write in a file:

echo phpinfo();
?>

i have installed it from the download at:

http://www.php.net/downloads.php

i followed all the directions but when i test it with:

<?
echo phpinfo();
?>

in a phpinfo.php file i get the 404 error.
