Can anybody who knows of any free rich edit controls (like the one I'm typing in now) post a link here please? I know there are loads out there, but I've been searching around and still can't find a 'perfect' one for my needs...

Did you try TinyMCE yet? It loads a little slow, but it's the best online rich text editor I've ever seen. It even works in opera 9!
