I hope I am in the right forum to post this question.

I manage 2 websites (soon to be 3) for my own and my husband's businesses. Now that we're growing more, we need a form mailer script with additional functionality.

Here's what we want the form mailer to do:
- send results to an email address with the "email" field set as the "reply-to" so an automated response can be sent immediately,
- at the same time, send results (append) to a file or database so we can keep track of information requests over time,
-redirect the viewer to a thank you page from our website,
- ideally, we would also like the script to send the user's email address to one of a number of newsletter lists if they checked the appropriate box on the form to opt-in,
-oh, and be reasonably secure against abuse

I know lots of websites out there do this sort of thing, but I have not yet had much luck finding an appropriate script.

We are willing to buy a pre-existing script or even pay someone to write a customized one for us if the price is reasonable.

What I think Chris means is,

What server side language does your server support so that A) Someone could tell you a script in that language that could help, B) Know what language to write your custom script in.

Language options can be, but not limited to: ASP, CGI/PERL, PHP, etc

So what language?

The things that most form mailers won't do, but is still possible with a little coding is storage (file, database) and news letter subscribing, which is not hard to implement. The rest is pretty standard for a mailer script.
