I have about 150 registered users on my web site. I have written a perl script that allows them to leave a private message for one another. It even includes a Trash folder, Sent folder, Reply button, etc.

But, it's still extremely amatuer-ish. What I really need is something like Yahoo email, but I don't want the messages to actually travel the internet, they just go from one account to another.

Anyone know of software like this?

Maybe you can use something like Yahoo email and just force everything to be delivered locally.

Bompa, looks like you want to have an e-mail system. Look at Postaci, OpenWebmail and SquirelMail.
