hello. wanted to learn php and while searching the net i came across ruby on rails. they said on their site that its easy esp to those w/ little knowledge on programming. should i learn php or ruby? which is better. thanks

I've been hearing much on ruby on rails lately. I'm a php fan. When it comes to programming/scripting, the theory is the same... the syntax is the difference. (IMO). I don't know anything about ruby on rails. Quite happy with php. Though, I'm not one who feels a need to jump quickly on the latest language and since I've noticed that lately, a few people are talking about Ruby on Rails, I'll keep my eyes open and listen. However, I think, if you look at the code, and it jives good with you, go for it.
