I'm trying my hand at some new terrrotory, using css sheets. I bought a template online and modified it to my liking. In a article from one of the webmaster/seo newsletters, I found a site that checks sites (for free) for correctness. I tried it and it found that I did not have a "document type". Sure enough, I checked it and I don't. The problem is I can't figure out the correct type. Each one I try, when I use the checker, it says incorrect for me web page. If anyone can tell me which one I am, I would appreciate it. The page is:

www.uswindshieldrepair.com

Thanks for any help, Bill

I'd say try the Doc Type for HTML 4 transitional.

Tried that, but when I validated it, it showed 54 errors? I think the problem may be that I'm not utilizing the page as a css style. Most likely I need to learn to use css properly.
