ok well my confidence on an answer has been knocked when the problem im ogonna assk about occurs on this site also. but here goes

If im using a java script to insert an item into a form field or select a link that doesnt change the immidiate page E.g. putting a smilie into a form or clicking on a form to open a mini window. then all of my gif images will stop moving.

Just wondering if there is a simple way of solving this. i have seen a number of sites that has gotten b the problem but can never find one when i try and solve it lol sods law. if u need an example of what i mean try posting a reply and insert a smilie. All the animated ones will pause.

gl guys any help is gratefully appreciated.

the name of this thread should be just annoying! It's a really hard thing. What happens is, the page is not loading anymore. (if you click on the stop button, it should do the same thing). you could cheat and just throw the animations into a flash editor (FlashMX will do for an example). you should be able to do this, but it's been a little while since I've used Flash.
