For me, grep, sed and awk can't be beat
I can generally get the operation done before most programs even get started.
I've always got a console open when working anyway.

Dreamweaver really is nice for swapping out large portions across a whole site ... more than you can fit in the find/replace dialog.

I use EditPad lite to Search and replace. I can open even 1000 webpages on it and find and replace all the files at once. Too fast then other applications since it is an simple text editor.

DW can do huge Search and Replace site-wide, even more powerful when you can use complex regular expressions.
