hi
i have a website whcih cotains a CGI script however i doesnt work it is surpose to track how many users com online i think i have the first line wrong
at the moment it is /cgi-bin (plz note my host is netfirms) is that right or wrong i think it is surpose to be cgi-bin/perl as the file name end with pi and not CGI

Netfirms doesn't like the entection being *.pl. I've found that naming all of your Perl/CGI files as *.cgi is a better idea. Make sure, as well, that you're path to Perl is correct (Netfirms is /usr/bin/perl). Make sure that all of your coding is correct, and make sure that you have CHMODed it to 755. Hope this helps.

This is wat the CGI script tells me to do

upload the files in ASCII-mode to your cgi-bin directory
and change mode it to 755 (-rwxr-xr-x).

now how do i do that i dont know could u plz tell me how to do that
