I am looking the javascript for opening window targeted in 'new tab' instead of self or new window.

The closest you'll get is telling your users to right click your link and say "open in new tab." In Firefox there's a setting for how links should be opened ( new tab, new window, same tab ), so I would guess Explorer has something similar. Basically, this is something in the user's control that you really can't mess with. Sorry.

seeing as the second link is for a thread by monyauto (same OP as this one ) he might have seen it

None of the "solutions" answer the query though for one very simple reason. There isn't a way (currently).

Well its ture you cant BUT you can open a Webpage Dialog box and that will popout, but other than that your pretty much cant :-)
