Ok, I have a site that is annoying me. These people are using the site to flame me, etc. What I need is a script to sap his bandwith in an effort to shut him off. I tried just using a php include() that would run with a cron job, but his host (Brinkster) has disabled hotlinking...can anyone think of another way that I could sap bandwith? I want it to sap as much bandwith in a single run as possible...and I'll set it to run very often with a cron job. Please PM me if you have any solutions.

This is illegal, AFAIK. I would not do this if I were you.

Go to his host and tell them about the personal attacks against you. Most hosts would rather talk to a client then have a bad rep or lawsuit.

"Darker side of webwork" ? Try illegal side. What your talking about is a DOS (Denial of Service) attack and is illegal. Take Chroder's advice and report him to his webhost or ISP if you know it.

If you stoop to his level then your no better then he is.

Dang, I was afraid that somebody would say that...it wasn't so much a DOS attack, but more of a...who am I kidding. I read his host's TOS and I think I found 1 or 2 things to get him kicked off on.

Don;t call up and say "I want him canceled" Calmly call up and say I am being personally attacked by one of your clients and would like it stopped.

if you want to goto jail.. you know the big house, then you should do that, but if I was you, I wouldn't do that at all.. good luck in finding someone to do that for you. lol

Thanks for the bump? I had already decided against doing it. I am happy to say that I contacted his host and they required him to remove the chat room. All has been resolved.
