Hi,

I want to learn Java since I know most other web programming languages and have been looking for a good book to buy over the internet. Mostly everything I find is for JDK 5 but I want something for the latest JDK 6. I really prefer to have the publisher be SAMS but I can't find anything on JDK 6 from there either.
Any suggestions?

For learning Java, I'd highly recommend Bruce Eckel's "Thinking in Java".

The truth is, any of the Java 5 boks apply to version 6. With 6 Sun basically added a bunch of new API's. So, don't really stress over that.
