Does anyone have a script that will place my own personalized icon (rather than an IE icon) in the favorites menu bar when my web site is bookmarked as a favorite site by a visitor?

thanks guys, I tried the instructions and used the following code in the header, after loading the favicon.ico file to the site. You can see the favicon at www.commontime.com/favicon.icon as proof. One thing is that the icon is 32x32, will this affect it?

however it doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong? I do not have access to the root directory so I cannot do it any other way.
