If I am in the wrong Forum, I apologise but I don't know where this would be categorized under:

I know you can forward domains to other links for example www.mydomain.com can be pointed at www.hisdomain.com/hisotherpage.htm ... etc.

What I would like to know is can you in any way forward a link such as www.mydomain.com/myinformation/goto to another link or domain?

Yup, just create a .htaccess file (note the dot at the beginning of the file name) and place a line like the following in it.

Redirect permanent /myinformation/goto/ http://www.someOtherDomain.com/
