How do I program web pages to fill up the entire browser without creating a horizontal scroll. Right now I am setting my page areas at about 750 width so it would fit in most browsers ok. I have seen sites that stretch and shrink in any browser. i think this looks much better. I tried setting my layout table at 100% but it just doesn't seem to work. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Setting the width to 100% should work fine, don't know why it's not working for you...

as long as you use relative width (eg. <table width=100%> ) you should be ok, it will stretch with the browser as you described. Some Internet Explorer versions tend not to display 100% width tables right but I dont recall if it is fixed by now. Therefore you might want to update your browser or switch to mozilla/opera to find out if your relative sized tables works or not.

If your page is setup like this it should display in any size

<html>
<head>
<title>Untitled Document</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
</head>
<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" text="#000000">
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center">
<tr>
<td>Your Content Here</td>
</tr>
</table>
</body>
</html>
