hi friends! i m new comer of this site....i belong to pakistan and its national Language is Urdu. i want to make a web site of my newspaper in Urdu language using micromedia dreamweaver v8 as the following... http://www.bbc.co.uk/urdu i know another way to make a web site in urdu language but our matter of site will be in GIF file not text but i want to make in text....Any body like to help me...?

I don't see where could be the problem.
As far as I know, Urdu is a rtl language (Right To Left), and it require a specific set of fonts installed on the computer who access your site, but this should not be a problem for your audience target.

So, will it be in text or in gif ?

I strongly encourage you to make it in text.
Much lighter, allows search engines to read it, and have a much better support for disabled peoples.
The only thing to take care of would be to use UTF-8 [http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/htmlunicode.html] charset nad to specify on every element a

direction:rtl;

css rule [http://www.w3schools.com/css/pr_text_direction.asp] to insure that your text is displayed in the right direction

thanx for reply dear but i question is that i want to make a web site in Micromedia DreamWeaver v8 in Urdu Language as text not GIF, i know about how cani make my website as GIF but i want to make it as text, so now my question is about text, and how can i write or copy paste it in dreamweaver, in microsoft front page, we must write our matter in any Urdu writer software and then copy this text to Word and then copy it and paste in front pate and then u get ur matter as text in front page, problem is that i have no sense to use front page, i m dreamweaver user and its easy for me, so plz help me to give me a way or tool to do that.....i m waiting

Sorry pal, I don't know dreamweaver.
But the hints I gave you before where about hand coding the pages, and should apply for dreamveawer too, I think .

My first thought is that you will need to type it in a word processor with the right language support and then paste it into Dreamweaver. However, I am also not a DW expert, and there may be an easier way. My best suggestion to you is to ask at the Dreamweaver support forums, you will probably get an answer there.

Thanks for sharing your question that can i make a website in Urdu language.For this purpose i can say that the website are made in urdu language through different tools i.e. Dreamweaver,and other language translation tools.....
