Hi,

I get this error "installation ended prematurely because of an error" when trying to install any program that uses MSI Installer (Windows installer). How to get rid of it?

This happens after I have pressed 'Next' button in installer.

Any ideas?

I will add rep and maybe donate some cash.

You should first check event log to see more specifics about the error.

Control panel > administrative tools > event viewer > check all three categories, and post them

Look for a time right around the timeframe when you get the error.

Ok I found an answer myself!

Just went to: Start -> Run and typed 'regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\vbscript.dll' without the quotes
