There's one, as far as I know, and it starts at $2,700. I've been using a desktop for too long and need a mobile computer. I pay for camera gear and vacations by writing server based software, so having four computing cores instead of two will make a huge difference in terms of modeling behavior on the server.

My best guess would be sometime next year. After the AMD Phenom quad cores hit the market I'm sure both AMD and Intel will push moble versions of their quad cores to market. Like anything in the tech industry, if it costs 2500+ this year, next year it will probably be in the 1500 range if not lower.

Have to agree with Matt. They will probably go mainstream sometime during the first or second quatar of next year, and if you wait a little longer, say this time next year, they will probably be a lot cheaper.
