i have a question about uploading videos to your website.
lets say to take a video right and it is a .mpg file right?

and when you put it in windows movie maker to edit and stuff it saves as a big file like .WMWAM or something like that, and i dont think any server supports that type of file.

so how would i be able to edit a video to add effects with movie maker and be able to upload it to my site? is there a program where i can put my finished all edited video in there and it will convert it to .mpg or a video file that supports my webserver?

Open your file that you've finished. Go to File > Publish

Done.

Depending on which version of Windows Moview Maker you have it shouldn't be too tricky. I have no idea why you're exporting a .WMWAM file, more likely that you're exporting a .WMV (Windows Media Video) file.

If you're importing a .MPG to edit in windows movie maker there are special effects you can add to it but still, the programs quite restrictive. When you are done editing, there should be a Save/Save As... (or possibly publish). You should have the option to export to a .AVI (HQ) or .WMV and there are a number of options for wuality, but if you're uploading it to view online keep the file size as small as possible whilst retaining a decent amount of quality.

Looks like a bit of trial and error may be required ^^

Awesome dude, let me know if you have any other problems. I think Windows Movie Maker is on version 2 atm unless there's a re-worked version that came with Vista.

yep. you can actually change the format in the settings. just a piece of cake. id suggest you use other converters because i don't ever use MM for lack of features.
