I have a number of clients that use Macromedia (Adobe) Contribute 3 to perform simple updates to their website.

Recently they are experiencing the following 'bug'..... When they click to launch Excel they receive a popup that states "Installing Contribute 3" - - VERY aggrevating since they must click cancel multiple times before it will go away....

I have been able to make it 'disappear' for a short period of time by powering down the computer and rebooting (rebooting alone will not do the trick).... However, it always comes back in a week or a month....

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

More info is required. For starters, what are they clicking to launch Excel?

Yup, my boss is having the exact same problem, although it's not limited to Excel at all. Virtually ANYTHING she does triggers that stupid Contribute install dialog. We *think* it has something to do with a patch that was pushed out about a month ago, but our IT guys are clueless.
