Recovery discs/System Restore

I have tried all means ie system restore which does not work. My recovery disks are damaged, is there a way I can do a full restore. This PC is Windows XP Home Edition.

For next time:

Put all data on a different Disk ie mydocuments etc.

Do a Ghost image of C

Restoring an image takes about 10 min (not including MS updates)

your system is still running or not? why not try copying your file to other HD first
