i had used ati before and geforce....i cant compare them both...it seems to me that i like both..

ATI (in my opinion) currently has a stable driver platform especially for Vista. Although I believe Nvidia makes a superior product, ATI's performance comes very close and is in my favour for stable drivers ... for the time being.

nVidea, because they have better performance, and because their card is so configurable. The drivers are sweet, and you can run logic code on the GPU as if it were 8 more CPUs.

I've had both, and I believe the nVidia to be slightly better than the ATI performance-wise. They are both excellent cards.

Ati is the best right now, they have the highest end graphic cards with the cheapest prices. I have one, and it's hasn't made a problem in two years! Go Ati!

i go for Nvidia GeForce...i use them both, i encountered some video problem using my ati...but i think it just a compatibility error, im more comfortable using nvidia..

Nvidia makes GeForce, GeForce is not a company, its a product. Ati is a company.

Years ago, 3DFX dropped the ball and let ATI take over the graphics market. And then NVidia came along.

Graphics chips are like a game of tennis or ping pong, the ball will go back and forth. What might be great today could be outdated tomorrow.

As for myself, I have no preference. It depends on who makes the best product for the money.

It really depends on what you like the moment. And speaking about moments. At the one MOMENT Nvidia may be faster for games. This will only be a while as ATI is bound to make one wich blows away the Nvidia's and vice versa and so on....

Now, if you look foor the biggest bang for your buck. I would advice the highend of ATI as they simply perform better as for that. Also!! If you like to do more with 2d work lets say use imaging programs such as Photoshop or Paintshop Pro STAY AWAY FROM NVIDIA!

IF you like to go absolutely pro on 2d graphics, there's but one choice: Matrox. Matrox produces KILLER cards when it goes about image editing. These cards are able to produce absolute real looking gold colors wich is not so easy to do on computers. If you have ever compared real gold (Full garat) with images of a computer screen...
