So I have a Fujitsu Lifebook T4220 tablet with Windows XP Tablet Edition. Here's my porblem: Back in May I got the dreaded blue screen, and i took it to the computer service people at school so maybe they could recover some of the data on there. Well all they ended up doing was reinstalling the OS (which I should have just done myself) and charging me $50. AND take away the Bluetooth, which came built-in when I bought it.

I talked to Fujitsu and they told me to turn the Bluetooth on in in BIOS. But it wasn't there anymore. So it miraculously disappeared when being serviced. All Fujitsu had to say was send it in. But I am way too reliant on this to lose it for a few weeks. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this myself? Thanks

Have you tried to install your bluetooth software on your tablet pc? or maybe after it has been serviced, the service people swapped it with tablet pc that has no bluetooth...

I tried installing all the software and drivers, and the service people gave me the same tablet back (I can tell from the scratches on the screen). The software would work, but it get s to a certain point during install, and is like "Woah I don't see any Bluetooth on here!" So the computer doesn't recognize that there is any Bluetooth hardware.

whoa that really sucks you need to to back to fujitsu and explain all and make a refund for their improper service.

User a hardware diagnosting tool to ensuer that you physically have a bluetooth radio on your notebook. A popular one is Everest (http://www.lavalys.com/). Run the diagnostic and ensure the physical BT is seen. They may have removed it. I had a notebook once where the BT radio was a small circuit board that was accessbile by a panel on the back, and could be removed just like a DIMM module.
