Honestly, The last time I used it was maybe 6 years ago.
It looked promising, but never took off, and I don't think that many drivers have been updated or keep up to date.
Since then, Be even decided to stop it's development (I believe...) so it's definitively dead now.
But maybe you can find drivers updated for your hardware. Try http://www.bedrivers.com/hardware/ but don't hope too much.
Can I bother asking you why you try BeOs today ?
At the time, it's multimedia and multitasking model where praised, but today, you can find other RTos (real time operating system) (no, windows is not an rtos, at least not natively) like QNX, VxWorks and such and the multimedia abilities of today computer are good enough for what BeOS was marketed for.
