This is my worst nightmare when my computer struck with spyware. First I don't know spyware, it crawls to your computer and it uses a lot of resources, and system is not usable anymore. There would a lot of advertisement pop-up you never seen before

So, get yourself a spyware detection and removal program and run it !
There are tons of them available - AdAware, Spyware Search & Destroy and lots, lots more.
If you dont' want spyware, don't download stuff from unknown sites, make sure you have an UPDATED virus scanner installed - and DO NOT use IE !!

Make sure you keep your antivirus updated everyday and make sure you have Spyware Search & Destroy. The best in detecting and deleting spyware.

always update your anti virus..so that spyware cant access your computer and you wont get infected.

Reformat your computer and start over with a Linux operating system I know it would be a big jump, but if you used Ubuntu or Fedora, you would wonder why you ever used Windows in the first place!! Freaking spyware

Ya, SpyBot S&D is good in detecting, protecting, and killing spywares.

And, it is free. Free and powerful, it is the best spyware killers!

I recommend malwarebytes. Very good and free.

Linx may no longer be a "Safe" OS. It gets fewer hits because there are fewer people who know the code but once it become mainstream... AND IT WILL SOON. You will need to be just as diligent as any other operating system.

OH almost forgot this suggestion...
You might want to get some type of keystroke encryption. That is one of the ways someone can get your info. TREND has this in theirs and it is new. I hope it sticks around. You will still need to make sure you are working on secure sites with credit card purchases.

download some good spyware removal tool... like, adware, ccleaner, cwshredder etc... or simply copy your important data to another drive and format your HDD and than reinstall OS
