Working with color schemes is a frustrating experience on my Dell Inspiron 640m laptop because the colors are always out of wack compared to every desktop I use. I also have an XPS 420 Dell desktop.

Color correction is normally a function of the graphics card.

Yours may or may not have color correction. Most have at least some.

You're going to need a monitor calibration tool to even get close.

Yes it depends on your graphic card and display both... so calibrate your display first...
