Laptop for print and web design

I want to buy a new laptop, something around a $1000. I'll need a good screen resolution with real colors, maybe 17" or 15", weight is not an issue. I prefer to use XP in it. I was thinking to buy a Dell Studio 17" with 3 GB RAM and Intel Core 2 Duo T5850 and 250 GB.
Some ideas... Thanks

Hello,

If you can afford it I would suggest a QuadCore also. You have to figure with a laptop that's something your going to keep for years. Also, I would suggest that 17" screen. You will be happy you went with 17" even if you don't always us it for media propese. I will be alot easier to get your work done on a 17" screen apose to a 15" screen. Also, I'm not sure if you thought about this indepth. But, I would make sure your computer has WiFi capablities. I hope I was helpful. Best of luck to you.

I use two (main) computers, PC for web design and other multimedia products and a Macintosh for Graphic Design and Video solutions.
When I'm traveling I use a Dell Latitude (to work everything on the fly) but it's time to update the laptop, that's the reason why I need a big screen and power to do all at once.
Thanks for all your advises.
