check the "users must press Ctrl+Alt+Del to login"

or add another user, if there is only one user login to the single user is automatic.

Ok, so far so good.

Now if you turn off the computer after you have logged off, what happens when you turn it on again?

this might sound basic to you but this is the only way to diagnose the issue from this distance.

Logging out should disable the auto-login that was probably set on install. If it still logs in immediately then follow step 1 in this page then delete the username and password and check the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" check box

Apply and Ok then restart. You should now get either a "Use Control+Alt+Delete to login ..." dialog or the welcome screen.
