Okay im on the verge of reinstalling everything again, and i would really like to get a good system images, so this time i will install everything (again) and create and image so i can easily restore it...

I am running Vista on all NTFS drives.

Recommendations please

I got something (which took 15 hours to download -.- ) but from the site seems to need FAT32 drives as it "uses dos" :s

So i am looking for something which is easy, quick clean and pref runs from LIVE CD (and not a windows app) so i can still easily restore even if i totally f'up my windows

Norton Ghost, Acronis True Image, DriveImageXML

i prefer norton ghost 7. i had been using that but i am not sure if it will work on vista..

I used partimage, but never with an ntfs fs. They says the support is experimental though

Just had a look the driveimageXML one looks interesting, will see how good that is, the one tripy suggested, to be honest im not looking for experimental not in mood for that i just want to know it works lol

So have t\you changed your mind? What about NG7. That is the best for me

NG7 = Norton Ghost 7?

Its just i cant afford anything really ... and prefer not to get into cracking norton stuff too much hassel

Prefer easy, free, (if possible) linux.

(and yes i do still use Vista! lol...)
