I like SONY. I actually have the one with 1GB RAM and Dual Core. Have to say that I'm happy so far.

I will suggest lenovo or toshiba....lenovo has this new model ThinkPadR61i7732 - Core 2 Duo, but still it depends on your budget!

Go for Core 2 Duo... Dell and HP are both good brands,,, but Dell is my favourite

I say you buy an alienware laptop. THey are expensive but very powerful.

I am also planning to buy a laptop since my desktop computer is becoming slow. Your suggestion to nepaltrekking is a big help already but quite expensive.Any good brand but cheaper price please that you can recommend?

I love the toshiba brand. That is what I'm currently on right now. I also don't think HP is too bad either.
