i installed an extra old drive to my computer, how can i partition it?

if you are using xp/vista then go to control panel>administrative tools>computer management>Disk management, then select your drive and right click to get more options.

install a Partition Magic....its a partition software and no need to reformat the hardisk/reinstall windows..

partition magic, i have checked on internet, it costs a lot for me. is there any free but reliable partition software for me?

Computer Management -> Disk Management -> Select the disk and set up the partitions how you want them.

TAKE NOTE: Any existing data will be lost. so back the disk up first if you need to keep anything from it.

It's only whatever is on the second drive that will be affected.

Unless you manage to partition the wrong drive of course

go to control panel locate for administrator then go to computer management
then hard drive partition
