Hi,

Was playing around with a HP laptop today, late model with Vista basic home edition installed. Working offline and looking at the games which come with Vista. Clicked on one game and a message popped up saying "You cannot access this game because you are not connected to the internet" so I clicked on a tab asking me if I wanted to look at another game, all of a sudden the screen went black and I cannot get it back. Any idea how to fix this ? Never had it happen before.

Restart your laptop... If the screen returns then ok, if you are unable to boot windows then it is because of a virus... and if after restart nothing apears then your screen is gone...

Tried to power up while hitting the F8 key, but nothing happened. Does not look good. The laptop is only about 5 or 6 months old. Maybe the "elcheapo" HP was not such a good deal after all.

if its happen again..go to task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+del then end the running program or press the power button around 10 secs. then uninstall the games..maybe its compatability error..check your specs!

Is it a new laptop? contact HP for their support... I think your machine is under warranty
