I believe it's a law of software engineering that it is impossible for a piece of software to be truly bug free. I doubt Microsoft has discovered the secret to violating this law.

One thing is good for sure with Windows 7. It has improved the speed of the system and cut the amount of memory it needs to run. I can't wait.

Windows 7 no doubt better than Vista in everyway except some incompatibility issues but that will be fixed after final RTM. Since it is based on the Windows Vista kernel most of the Vista drivers work well or require little modification. Windows7 is head and shoulders above Vista!

I recently got my retail version of Window 7 through msdn.
I'm going to go with windows 7 simple because of the cool theme & the speed is much better than vista.

I haven't used Window 7 yet. But I heard from others who had experience that Window 7 eats up less resources and therefore it is faster than Vista.

No, it may look like Vista but is not a "new version of Vista"

For me Windows 7 is the combination of windows vista for graphics and windows xp for its accessibility.

Personally Iam gonna stick with vista. Why?
Vista nowadays is just as fast an nimble as 7.
Installing a new OS is a pain in the ***. I have to reinstall all the drivers , software patches an then tweaks an everything else.

Retweak all thwe games .
Just too **** tiring.

^It's not that bad. Its only tiring when you don't know what you're doing

Windows 7 for me, it's everything Vista wasn't, or tried to be. The thing with 7 is though, is that it can be manipulated to look like Vista, which is its huge downside.

Why is that a "downside"?
