well i've done my research on this wonderful question and came up with the answer.. BUY AN LCD!! The only advantage you get with a plasma is that it has deeper-darker blacks and brighter whites. If you get a plasma, your energy bill will show. Plasmas use about three times the power an lcd uses and they also "die" a lot quicker. The best deal to get on an LCD if you're on a budget is a Sharp LC-32SB24. LCD's look good in a light lit or dark lit room and they're optimal for gaming. If you're seriously thinking about purchasing a new tv search for Sharp LCD HDTVs on ebay (great deals lately) and you wont be sorry. Great quality tvs especially for the price.

All of the research that I have done indicates that LCD is far superior to Plasma. Plasma is prone to having images burned into the screen. Not a good thing if you're a fan of CNBC.

What is the main issue for you? Budget? iN this case I believe that you need to operate with current models not with the types.

I am using SAMSUNG TV in my home... and I am quite satisfied with it....

I think both are good, so i would go with the one which is cheaper........

I'm using Samsung 32" LCD tv in my flat, and I think Samsung have a little more brighter picture then others... I think personally that LCD is far better then plasma tv...

I prefer LCD over Plasma too. The image in LCD screen is sharper. It also consumes less energy and emits less heat.

LED Brighter Image, Thinner Cabinet, Greater Angle of View... Then again if you're poor like me you buy whatever's cheap.

LCD seems to be a better technology with less problems. That is what I would buy at least.

I heard things like needing to recharge plasma TV's etc They just sound like a headache.

Go for SONY WEGA ( Low response time with HDMI output supported)

I have the Sony S Series 32'' Wega, it's awesome! New Sony series are even better.

LCD with high definition. Plasma has deep colors only one or two years and then it starts faint.
