Hi, I'm now setting up my network and doing some research on anti-virus software to deploy. I've used MCAffee EPO and that worked fine in my former place of employ, but I used Panda at home which also worked fine. More and more i'm seeing Panda being rated above the traditional Norton, McAffee.

Does anyone out there use Panda Security suite and could comment on its performance? What anti-virus do you use and why?

I can't comment on Panda but have a look at http://www.av-comparatives.org/comparativesreviews/ which reviews all the popular AV software.

I am using avast anti virus from past few months!
It is really good and it always informs whenever the virus detects to my pc!

AVG 8.5 free edition. Great program for the price tag.

I use a combination of Avast!, AdAware and Geek Superhero. Properly configured, they get the job done (often if one misses something the other gets it, and they can run at boot level if needed) without hogging memory or constantly needing my attention.

Clam AntiVirus, it supports just about every OS and I can put in on proxies to filter traffic for Windows on Linux

I also use Avast as my personal anti-virus really good in destroying virus.

The ultimate use is creating an Ubuntu Live CD with it to fix people's windows installs.

Boot from CD (into Ubuntu), mount windows partitions, run AV. Since windows isn't running, neither are the virii

I am using Norton and quite happy with it, but it is quite resorce hungry

I use Untangle to run a server/router which filters for virus/spyware before it enters the internal network. That works well and then I don't need antivirus on all my machines. I use the Kaspersky suite on that server to filter the network traffic. In addition I have Kaspersky installed on a few computers that need it. Overall I would say that Kaspersky is the best antivirus suite. The other good one that I have used, which is free, is Avast.

Currently nothing...I'm a Rebel, lol. But I hear good things about BitDefender Antivirus
