Awstats is a free tool provided by my web host provider. Maybe your host provider gives you the same tool.

I agree with your points. And I too recommend "extremetracking" button for tracking ip, keywords, browsers, host ip etc. THis button also proivdes you backlinks from google pagerank 8 site.
