Do you *really* need it? Isn't standard air cooler enough?

@Hosting never heard of these one,

ust a couple of years ago, water cooling systems were expensive, difficult to install and complicated in use. But vendors have attempted to change that legacy. Many have revamped their lines in an attempt to make their water coolers simple to install and use. We detailed seven recently-launched devices to see if the solutions live up to the vendors' ambitions.

-it is expensive

Well, standard cooling should be more than effective for more than 99% of home computers

it's more expensive but less noise. also if you have a quad core processor, this is ideal

If you use good cooler (NOT watercooler), it won't produce any noise. One of my computers is located close to my bed (the distance between my head and PC is less than 50 cm). I can sleep well if computer is turned off because it doesn't produce ANY noise.

Serious means if u wanna hit 4ghz on ur shiny new I7 920 24/7 an dont wanna get peak load temps of more than 60 or 65C.
With a good WC setup u will be able to reach 4.5 or even 5Ghz if ur lucky with resonable temps (escpecially if u have Peltier thermo-electric coolers attached as well)

All this can be achieved with "normal" coolers.

I used to build them, they are a pretty cool set up, but usually not needed for any type of standard use, the companies i built them for were based in warehouses that got extremely hot and used the computers to its max, so in that case a water-cooled PC would be the best bet to not have it overheating.

Though as stated above, if you are thinking of overclocking for serious gaming, it could be of use as well
