I'm hoping that I've posted this in the correct section and that it's even possible - my question is: Is it possible to make it so that whenever a document is scanned in the photocopier machine, that it is saved to a hard drive or a computer on the same network as the device?

I believe that depends on the device you are using.

I have a multifunction center printer/copier/scanner type device and I *believe* it can save copies internally, if that's what you mean...

if your scanner has option to do that you can save copy.
