You can also try a program called IETESTER, it will open your page in IE6, 7, and 8 all from within the 1 program.

The best solution would be to download IE 8, which has a feature called Compatibility Mode, which allows you to run sites as if you were in IE 6, or IE 7, with the added security, and speed of IE 8. Here is a link explaining Compatibility Mode:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956197/
and here is a link to help you get started download IE 8:

I don’t think it’s possible. Better install latest version (IE8) & enjoy all features of IE 6 & IE7.

Because other people do and the users are more important.

I think its not possible because its a upgrading process when it comes to web browser and in that way the older ones will be upgraded. Nowadays, it's not a good idea to use IE, its better if you use Firefox.

This thread has to win the "I DON'T READ/UNDERSTAND OTHER PEOPLES POSTS BEFORE POSTING!" thread of all time!

The whole point of the OP was that sites NEED to be tested in ALL browsers!

Just because YOU don't use IE6 or 8, there are millions who do!

If you don't run them - how do you know users are seeing your site correctly??!!

I agree with it, instead of using two IE, you can take advantage of compatibility mode of IE 8. But seriously firefox is best among all.

I don't think you can use both the IE versions at once. You can use 2 different browser but not from the same company.

no you can't install both at one time. if you try to do its crash each other. i think you don't need to use both of them. internet explorar 7 is the best for use.

But how would YOU check to see if your web page looks ok in IE6?

Or would YOU just ignore the fact that millions of users still use it and might be seeing your page displayed INCORRECTLY??!!

What for? If my memory does not fail me this browser is not recommended to use even by Microsoft

Yes but users will STILL be looking at your site with it!

It doesn't matter what Microsoft recommended! you have to cater for the end user!
