incredimail It's a bit "girly" but it's far better than the "live mail" crap that comes along with Windows.

I wouldn't vote for incredimail - it looks like 100% adware application for me. Sure, I know it's real email client, but I will never use it because of its interfaced and a truckload of bundled crap.

If you are running something else than windows, then evolution
http://projects.gnome.org/evolution/

Otherwise, I never found something to my taste.
Which is why I use gmail.

What is the price for free software? Let's take FileZilla - 100% free software without any ads.

Sure, HOWEVER!

Filezilla has a limited userbase, whereas something such as an email client could be used by anyone who has a Windows OS on their PC.

Just a slightly larger marketplace so it's more attractive for advertisers.

Not a software you install.
It's a web interface to their free mail.

I know gmail is NOT a mail client, but "! st.soso !" has recommended gmail to softmind82, so I guess he has some pre-leaked version of future gmail software. Now we just need to wait for ! st.soso ! to share information with us.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this tool support AOL mail accounts ONLY?

I know gmail isn't a client, but what I do is have it set up so that it receives email from my non gmail email address, and sends outgoing from it. So as far as anyone else can see it is my email address on my own domain, but it all goes through gmail.

But if you really want a client to read your email, thunderbird is a good as any as far as I know, although I rarely ever use a client.
