hi, i bought a NU dvd drive , external, it uses USB power, and has 2 usb connectors, it doesnt take any drivers. i have windows sp3 and the drive only needs windows sp2. i only have one port on the right side of my notebook, and 2 on the left. but my keyboard and mouse connector only seem to work on the left side so im forced to use the right port. i have a powered USB hub plugged in to the usb port on the notebook pc, and the 2 DVD drive connectors are plugged into the USB hub. in the directions it does say that if it doesnt work you can use an ac adapter for the dvd drive ( of course its not included) windows gives me an error of

please any help greatly appreciated, thank you. derek

If you have a powered USB hub then you dont need an extra adapter for your DVD drive. By the way I am going to ask you a stupid question, do you have any adapter attached to your USB hub?

I think the problem is in your usb hub, which it is only a usb hub (with no power). Try it on a POWERED usb hub, and im sure it will work.
