Hello Friends

What is a secure tunnel client? I just recently found out that I need a secure tunnel client in order to access an API. Tried googling it but I find way too much conflicting info about what it is exactly.
Please help me with this.

Thanks

Probably about the simplest explanation of "tunneling"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunneling_protocol.

Assuming of course you are referring to tunneling in the network sense, rather than tunnelling as in digging through the earth.

and there is
PPTP Point to Point Tunneling Protocol or you could read RFC 2637.

And a "client" would simply be agent at one end (the user end) of the connection.

RDP and SSH are examples of "tunnelling" so PuTTY is an example of a "Secure Tunnel Client"
