I want to learn the tricks of disabling Disc error checking while Windows boots. I wish you people to come up with easy tricks.

Don't use FAT32 disks and remove your USB "memory stick" before booting up.

OR if you are confident with registry editing :-

fire up the Registry Editor (regedt32.exe)

then navigate to:-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager

edit the BootExecute key and set it to:

autocheck autochk *

Editing the registry is at your own risk of course as it can really **** your machine up if you change the wrong settings.

Reg edit is dangerous, best to practise playing with that in an internet cafe computer, just create a text file with cmd written in it, change the .txt to .bat double click your .bat file and your in the command prompt, type cd\windows and click enter, type regedit and click enter, now start changing stuff, don't do this at home kiddies

Hi Friend,
First click Start, Settings, Taskbar and Start Menu, Advanced, etc. and delete or move shortcuts to startup programs. The easy way is to click Start, Run, enter msconfig, choose the Startup tab, and uncheck unwanted startup programs... and restart Windows.

Thanks,
James

Try playing with msconfig. You can run it by clicking "START" then "RUN" then type msconfig. It will provide you option to turn off any services that loads on startup that has no meaning to your work. Some might be potential viruses so better disable as much useless services your intuition can recognize.
