I want to download movies from a particular website. Rather than regular downloading, I prefer accelerated downloading. can anyone suggest me a best download manager for this?
I got one from freedownloadmanager.org.....
Been using it for over a year....I do not download movies but have dl some big files and it works good...

Did you try FREE DOWNLOAD MANAGER? I'm using it. It has awesome features. Check it out or also search on google free softwares. You can get it as well on torrent websites. U torrent is very famous. I hope it'll work. See you later.
You do know that some sites will ban and block you for using accelerated downloaders, because they open more than one connection to the FTP server and hog the resources.

I have Download Helper installed in my Mozilla Firefox. Although it doesn't accelatate the download speed, its really a great help; specially in downloading non-downloadable videos / mp3.

I have been using two download managers
Download accelerator pro &
Internet download manager.
The first one that is DAP is graphical and good.
The second one IDM is not graphical but lite and system loving it's fast and has more customization features than any other.
GigaGet is fastest I've used.I like it because there are lots of feature & setting that you can tweak to match with your connection,it support torrent, easy to use and it's free.I am also using orbit right now,and it is the best for downloading.
It takes a download in multiple parts in the same time and you download faster.Has plugins for Internet Explorer and automatically prompt when you download something.
The best downloading manager is internet downloading manager (IDM), its the fastest among all as it downloads a file by splitting into many parts which provides it more speed.
If you're using Firefox you may try to use DownThemAll download manager. Its an add-on for Firefox. Its fairly easy to use specially downloading images in one go.
