In need of some advice

I have had bad luck with computers recently. It seems right when the year warranty is up, it dies. My computer just crashed yesterday, at the warranty expired in June. I need to get a new computer, but I want one that will last. I am willing to spend good money on something, as long as it lasts. I was looking at this samsung laptop. I need something fast, and able to process heavy programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Google Sketch up, and other heavy programs that I use that would get sluggish when I start adding detail to my work.

This is the computer I am considering.

Any thoughts?

Also, if you could recommend a brand or a computer that you really like please let me know.

What about Mac's? Do you love em? I have never used one, but I have heard that they tend to last.

Thanks for the help.

Have never used a Mac...
I have an HP about a year and a half old......love it...
Has a dual core processor and 4 gigs of ram...gets the job done...
You may want to consider the extended warranty.....on any machine...

Before buying a computer you should know what are you going to use of it then look for the best system that will suite your need and make sure to neg with extended warranty.

Good advice but the best thing to do is to learn about computer specification so you choose what the right laptop that is really fit to you.

With that important point mentioned you should also consider the portability and the main reason you want or you may need a laptop having always in mind the expenses and your budget with the speed your'e looking for.

I think Samsung will do the job. You might also want to check Asus, I recommended it to my friend, it has a good battery life, like 4 days of standby mode and has a great video card for better graphic performance.

Regarding Mac, haven't used one.. but, if you are into media editing it would be great for you. The only problem I think with Mac is that program availability is limited.
