I have to buy a branded desktop, which should i prefer , there is no problem of money but the computer should be good. I have to buy this for normal purpose.

Dell computers are great. Have you tried it? That's the brand I'm using.

There is no " best brand" that will suit everybody. The also-rans and less reliable manufacturers have been thinned out by natural selection and attrition, so the mainstream players are all "much of a muchness" now.

So decide on your price range and specs and make your choice based on that.

I have to admit I didn't even think people bought branded desktops, thought people just made their own depending on what they wanted, strange worlds out there.

There is no correct answer to this one. The only advice is that if service and some types of support is needed, the names often have the edge.
Today, if you want to buy a desktop, the HP Athlon 64 unit is a nice solution.

HP computers are nice. Tend to have a decent build to them.
However Dell etc are all just as good.

Pick a budget, Find the most powerful for your price.

Most of the time we considers what suits to our budget. Right? So choice what you can buy.

I think you should buy an assembled one as it is easy to customize. But i would suggest to buy the intel processor only as it is the best i have ever experienced. You can also try dell as they are also not bad and are in demand these days.

But others used to built in their computers by buying parts of it. It's more cheaper than buying the assembled one.

I don't agree with you Prajay, the bottom line is, one will make their final decision, but sometimes helpful to hear what other people have to say and the whys.

I do have suggestion for you Devashish Kumar, call up a few computer repair shops who work on all the brands and ask them their opinion. I honestly couldn't give you an opinion because we build our own computers.

I do not agree with you mate. People used to ask questions for them to guide in making decisions. One past experience and thoughts might help you in choosing what is best.

If you are looking for a branded computer then Dell computer has very good customer feedbacks and reviews.

The best brand of computer for me is a brand that you won't have problems in the warranty and technical support department when issue arise with your computer.

HP or Dell both would be fine. But why do you want to go for a branded one when you can get a better assembled one, which would also be at a much lower cost.

I am using custom made computer but I have used Dell optiplex desktops. Both are good. For custom made computer we have options for better hardware.
