is firefox 4 faster than opera? what are the advantages?

Firefox 4 is now on Beta 4. I've been using it since beta 1 and I must say they improved their speed. But in benchmarks they do not win VS the Opera 10.61 build.

The final release may be faster, but I doubt it will be faster than Opera.

Open source and privacy is a better choice why I decided to keep Firefox against Chrome or Opera.

I am also defend firefox because its speed is good and its options are very easy to use.

I’ve noticed that every release of Firefox is getting faster and faster, I wish that ff4 will be the fastest.

I think the new firefox isn't much into faster processing but compatibility with new programs in the net and other browsers feature so it won't be left out with security and compatibility performance.

I think you need to define the word "faster".
Faster in starting?
Faster in executing javascript?
Faster in processing css3 properties?

I hope FF4 will be much faster. FF3.6.8 is really a slow browser.

Google Chrome is at the moment my favourite. Fastest in starting, much faster in executing javascript and pretty fast in processing css3.

i use only firefox it's work speed is too good for me so i like firefox.

Well leave firefox and opera....just go for Google Chrome.

As it is best than other according to my personal experience because all the other browser need the plugins and chrome doesn't need it.

I used to use FF. So fat it is neither faster nor slower then Opera.

Even it was at Beta Stage, Firefor 4 is much better compare to other versions of Firefox.
