Hello Friend,

Any learning experience means opening up to new ideas and new ways of doing things. Linux is in the UNIX family of operating systems. UNIX is primarily designed to be used by professionals. You will have to learn some UNIX concepts.

Thanks,
James

Linux is basically a collection of applications packaged together with the operating system. To learn Linux is to learn all. Start with the book "Linux for Dummies" for a simple yet straightforward approach to the system.
