For a laptop 15-16' screen with a quad core processor, 1 gb graphics card and 6-8 gb ram, 500 GB hdd @7200rpm etc...

generally sony viao is good .but dell studio have it unique fixture that why dell is better then sony looks is also better then sony,

would recommend sony viao, almost all of my friend got one and they say they don't have problem with it.

Since 2004, I have had nothing but good luck with Dell Laptops and Desktop systems.

I've had over 10 Dell computers since 2004 and everyone has been a great system to work with.

According to me DELL laptops are the best both in looks as well as configuration.

I think sony viao is better.But it's so expensive....

You may want to check out ASUS. They make a gaming laptop with similar configuration to the Dell and the Sony. ASUS is generally considered to be a "sleeper" in the computer world... cheap and generally unknown, but very high quality computers.
